Boldness is a mix of passion, confidence, and Bravery! Maybe you are thinking that being bold only deals with proclaiming all these great things over your life. But the truth is, it’s important to be bold in the following ways…
Boldly acknowledging your vulnerabilities and insecurities.
Identify within yourself whatever it is that scares you the most. What are you hiding from? What are you hiding from others? Take inventory of your strengths and weaknesses. Make a commitment to giving all you can. The things that you struggle with…embrace them as well. Do not allow your pride, or fear to hold you back from asking for support. The world was created in a way that everyone has gifts to offer the world. For where you are weak, someone else is strong.
Boldly admitting when you are wrong and apologizing.
Taking responsibility for your actions is a very important aspect of progress. Admitting when you are wrong helps to establish trust and better communication with others, but even more with yourself. You are able to look at yourself in the mirror and learn from your mistakes. After all, if you don’t confront your mistakes, you put yourself in danger of repeating it.
Boldly standing up for what you believe.
Share your ideas and beliefs with the world. It’s okay to have an opposing view, but always be sure to present your points in a respectful way. Boldly standing up for what you believe in does not mean you put down the people on the opposing side. Welcome people into your world by stating your truth. The world is full of many ideas and yours is worth sharing.
Boldly going for what you want and not settling for anything outside of the scope.
There are many ways to get “the job” done. You know what works for your life. Failure does not come from giving it all you have despite the results; it comes from giving up and allowing things to prevent you from trying.
Someone once told me that if I want to see something come into fruition, then I need to get to work. So many times we sit and day dream over and over on an idea that we believe could change the world, or at least our local communities. But oftentimes, we allow fear to overwhelm us, and unfortunately, it can outweigh our chance at actually being successful with our dream.
If you decide to let fear prevent you from living out your dreams, you pretty much mark your personal gifts as null and void. I encourage you to take a different route, an be the bold type. Boldly committing yourself to learning and growing through adversity, and trial and error. After all, “tenacity and bravery is what it will take, for you to make something out of nothing for your future’s sake.” Good luck my friend!
